Hi...I'm a blogger, and I have written two blogs on deceptive and fraudulent billing by MyLife.com. Here is the blog that I wrote today. If you want to read the first blog, please go to www.yeagerm193.wordpress.com.

So, here's the deal. I wrote and sent out nineteen letters to consumer agencies, news media, senators, state reps, etc. about unauthorized charges to my credit card. If you need to catch up, please read my previous post about fraudulent billing practices at MyLife. Since the last post, I have become aware of two additional charges from this company in 2015 which were also unauthorized. So, MyLife made 4 unauthorized charges, each in the amount of $95.40, to my credit card since January, 2015.

The first response to my complaint came from MyLife. They sent a snapshot of my transaction history, and they claimed to have reversed all the charges. Here is what they had on record at that time (it changes, believe it or not):

1/2/2015 - $9.95 (refunded)

1/2/2015 - $95.40 (refunded)

1/2/2016 - $95.40 (refunded)

1/10/2016 - $95.40 (refunded)

$9.95? I didn't know there was a $9.95 charge. But wait....isn't that the charge for a "one-time" search? Aha! That's what I've been saying all along. I used this site in the past for a one-time search.

So, I waited to see if the refunds would go through on my credit card. About a week later, I noticed that two of the $95.40 charges were refunded. What about the third charge of $95.40 and this $9.95 charge?

Today, I received the response that MyLife gave to the Better Business Bureau of Los Angeles. Now things get a little fun as I started to laugh when I read it. I can't stop shaking my head at the stupidity. The response states "We also refunded all charges to your account...closed the account, along with 4 other unpaid accounts you had."

Four other unpaid accounts? What in the world are they talking about? Who in their right mind would have five accounts with MyLife? That makes no sense at all. Then I realized that they had said "unpaid accounts". Now how is that possible since they had my credit card information? If these so-called "unpaid accounts" existed, why not just charge my credit card? Epic fail on the part of MyLife. Nice try...well, not really.

But it gets even better. Here is a copy of my so-called transaction record that they sent to the BBB (notice the difference from the one above):

1/2/2015 - $9.95 (refunded)

1/2/2016 - $95.40 (refunded)

1/10/2016 - $95.40 (refunded)

That's it. So where did that other transaction go from 1/2/2015 for $95.40? Did it just magically disappear into the air somewhere in a matter of a couple of weeks? Who knows. And there's that *** $9.95 charge again! So, I decided to get to the bottom of all this once and for all. I called Capital One - my credit card issuer.

The lady from Capital One and I spent about thirty minutes going through each charge and each credit that involved MyLife. Capital One is sending copies of the transaction records so we can prove that this company is wrong. Here are the facts as per Capital One records:

1/3/2015 - $95.40 charge from MyLife

1/10/2015 - $95.40 charge from MyLife

1/3/2016 - $95.40 charge from MyLife

1/11/2016 - $95.40 charge from MyLife

As of today, MyLife has refunded 3 of the 4 charges of $95.40. There is no $9.95 charge from this company, and there is no refund of $9.95 from this company anywhere on my Capital One credit card transactions.

So, again, how is this company still in business? I have absolutely no idea. What are they thinking? Do they not realize that people can prove what they are being charged on their credit cards? All it takes is a phone call. I really just don't know what else to say... I kind of hope they keep sending responses to my letters as I want to see how many other mistakes/untruths they can come up with in dealing with this issue. Anyway, all of the above information will be forwarded to the 19 places that I originally wrote to about this problem. Eventually, MyLife's fraudulent billing practices will come to light and hopefully come to a complete stop. Again, since they are running their business in this shoddy manner, they need to be shut down if they can't fix their issues.

Reason of review: Fraud.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Mylife Cons: Scam.
